Below is information for your 2007 Table Lodge

A special thanks to all of the Brethren who support this event!

Acacia Lodge No. 16 sponsored what is likely the most spectacular and largest Table Lodge the State of Virginia has ever seen. This was a historic Masonic event and one for the history books. It was the most attended, talked about and advertised of all time! Page 12 of the Kenagram has info. Page 7 of The Virginia Masonic Herald and just too many to list Masonic websites, newsgroups, Blog's, Trestleboard's, etc.

This was a festive occasion celebrating St. John the Baptist and included a social dinner, ritual which incorporated terminology of centuries ago, Masonic songs, toasts by several special guest speakers, souvenir toasting glasses, and MORE! It was held at Kena Shriners on June 27, 2007.

Special guest speaker was

Past Grand Master of Virginia, Most Worshipful John Randall Quinley

There were almost 90 Brethren who attended this historic event to include, EA's (Entered Apprentice) FC's (Fellow Craft) and other guests (only a partial list)

Past Grand Master of Virginia, Most Worshipful Don Robey. In 1984 Don put together the ritual for Virginia Table Lodges and it was adopted as the standard ritual we use today.
Deputy Grand Master of Virginia Rite Worshipful Ed Cohen
Potentate Kena Shriners Illustrious James G. Kincheloe
Past Grand Master of Washington DC. Most Worshipful Jules S. Tepper
Brethren from Naval Lodge Washington DC
Brethren from West Virginia
And many MORE!

Brother Paul Vincent Longerbeam, Acacia's most senior member. Raised 01-10-1944 a member for 63 years. (pictures below)

Menu was

  • Entree - Steak
  • Masonic Beans (green beans cooked w/ ham hock)
  • Roasted Potatoes
  • Rolls & Corn Bread
  • Dessert - Blueberry & Peach Cobbler & Ice cream
  • Choice of Wine or Cider for Toasting

It is rather difficult to take a picture of an engraved glass, one image is with it empty, the other I filled it with a dark soda. The I had to deal with the sun and shadows and condensation from the cold soda, etc. it took a few tries to get this. It is about 5-1/4" tall and 2-1/2" across the top, the bottom 1-1/2" is solid glass, good for banging on the table.

We have about 100 Commemorative Table Lodge Glasses left over and they are for sale at $10. ea. plus s&h

I sat with them off to the side, since we were that last ones in the door after the Master Masons Lodge was opened, all the other tables were full so we had to setup an extra table.
