At the pleasure of the Worshipful Master, there a called communications several times throughout the year, primarily for the purpose of conducting degree work. We also have practices regularly. See the calendar

Acacia Lodge No. 16 is a good old country Lodge, it might even be called a railroad Lodge by some, one that you would be proud to be a member of.

We are a rather laid-back Lodge, we only wear tuxedos for special events, most of our events, a suite and tie is optional.

Built in the 1800's Acacia Lodge is a historical landmark listed with the Department of Interior since 1985.

Acacia Lodge No. 16 motto is "The Greatest Little Lodge in the Commonwealth of Virginia."

- There is no Handicap Access to the second floor Lodge room, the first floor "Hatcher Hall" is accessible, the bathrooms are on the first floor and are Handicap accessible.
- Parking is in our gravel parking lot, overflow parking is in the adjacent gravel parking lot and the paved parking lot of the restaurant across the street. All parking is free and a very short walking distance.
- Acacia is located about two city blocks from the Towns Fire Department and rescue Squad.
- Wireless phone use is very limited or will not work at all, the Lodge does have a phone for local calls only, long-distance calls cannot be placed.
- There is no Internet access.
- There is central heating and A/C.
Stated communications are subject to change, for example: when the 4th of July falls on the first Thursday. Refer to the Trestleboard
